Microsoft confirms Kumo search engine testing
Microsoft is gearing up to launch Kumo, its new online search service soon and today it has confirmed the testing of its new Internet search engine. Kumo which means cloud or spider in Japanese is said to be the replacement of Microsoft’s Live search. Microsoft has registered the domain kumo.com and is currently being tested internally within Microsoft.
The ajax based iGoogle is one of the most widely used start-up page for rich personalized user experience in recent times. Sometimes i check Google mail through iGoogle as Gmail is not directly accessible in my company. Gmail is one of the Google Gadgets which is quite popular among the iGoogle users but still users are not able to get the real Gmail experience with Google chat missing out. So Google has now extended the chat feature to iGoogle
Multi-user collaboration is one of the new buzzing words that has become so common these days with the advent of Web 2.0 and other new technologies in the internet. Whenever I think of a collaborative exercise, generally a white board exercise in the conference room comes into my mind and it doesn’t help much when you have something projected on to the screen instead a white board and people want to share their ideas at the same time. This makes multi-user interaction and collaboration with the one computer or a projected output from a computer tough.
