website-hacked Over the past few years handful of Indian websites including (.gov.in, and .org) were defaced by Chinese, Pakistani hackers and government is struggling to keep the attackers away. "Ring-Of-Fire"(R0F) today revealed that HCL Store website was defaced with some screenshots. A Turkish hacker group has taken over the site last night replacing the main page with their one.

Kevin Rudd’s website compromised

Kevin Rudd website hacked Yesterday Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd’s website was compromised in protest against the Government’s new policies over Internet Censorship. Australian media reports the president’s website, www.pm.gov.au, was brought down at about 7.20pm (AEST) along with that of the Australian Communications and Media Authority, but both were back online about an hour later. It has been told that the new proposal to introduce internet filtering would block legal content, and take censorship to levels like that seen in China.

Chinese spy network breaks into computers across the world

Chinese Spy Network It has been reported that Chinese cyber-spy network has been breaking into computers across the world accessing documents, files from government and private organizations including Dalai Lama’s office. “GhostNet”, the name of the spy network has penetrated 103 countries accessing systems containing sensitive information in top political, economic and media offices according Canadian group Information Warfare Monitor (IWM). The Canadian researchers found this as a result of conducting a 10-month investigation over the cyber-espionage claims against the Tibetan exiles.Ghost Net is said to have infected 1295 computers at NATO, foreign affairs ministries, embassies, banks and news organizations.
