Double delight for Australia this Jan

jumping-in-joy This new year 2009 has given Australia a nice start with Technology giants like Microsoft and Nokia has offered enhanced service facilities and freebies respectively. Last week Microsoft announced its plan to roll out of POP3 access for Windows Live mail and the option is already available for set of countries with Australia being one of them. Today Nokia has revealed its plans for rolling out service for Nokia’s unlimited music application in Australia and Singapore in couple of months which is already operational in UK. Tero Ojanpera, head of Nokia Entertainment and Communities revealed this plan at MidemNet annual music gathering at Cannes.

Hotmail Free POP3 and SMTP Access and Server Configuration Settings Windows Live hotmail is one of the popular email services but POP3 facilities were enjoyed only by Windows Live Hotmail Plus premium subscribers till now. With the growing amount of competition put Microsoft under threat and now finally Microsoft has come up with POP3 facilities to Australia, Netherland, United Kingdom, Canada and a set of other countries. Now one can access the mail using their Windows Live Mail Client, Microsoft Outlook  and can also use opensource POP3 email clients like Thunderbird etc. Know how to configure hotmail for POP3 at Windows Live site.

Nokia's music service Nokia will be introducing unlimited Music application in couple of months offering music subscription free-for-all service  from selected music labels reports Australia’s largest commuter magazine MX. The music tracks can be download by the users to their mobile phones and to one computer for free and can be kept even after the expiry of the contract. The cost of the music is expected to get reflected in the price of the phone itself. Lets wait and watch.
