Find windows 7 compatibility issues with Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor

windows7 upgreade advisor beta Microsoft started distributing free copies of Windows 7 RC last week and hundreds of thousand people has downloaded copies for their own and has started giving feedbacks.  Got impressed with Windows 7 and want to know if your PC is ready for installing  Windows 7 upgrade? Then download Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor from Microsoft which scans your PC’s system, programs and devices and will tell you if it is able to run Windows 7 without any hassle.

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta will check your hardware of PC and will let know you know if your PC has any compatibility issues. As I told you in my earlier posts, to do an upgrade your PC needs Windows Vista and Windows XP users need to do a complete installation which may wipe your disk. Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor tests your PC against RAM, Hard disk free space, processor speed etc and will give you a detailed report.

The following requirements must be met to run Windows 7,

  • 1GB RAM for 32-bit Windows 7 and 2 GB Ram for 64-bit Windows 7.
  • 16GB of hard disk free space for for 32-bit Windows 7 and 20 GB for 64-bit Windows 7.
  • Minimum 1 GHz CPU speed.
  • System should be able to run Windows Aero, the highest-performing Microsoft user interface ever.

Its always better to run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta before you proceed upgrading or do a fresh install of Windows 7 in your computer.
