proxy A proxy in a corporate environment is nothing but a device acting as a middle man between the employees workstation and the Internet ensuring secure Internet access. glype Glype is a free PHP written web based proxy script and is one of the best known. Glype is fairly simply to install and has got a good community support. I started with Glype installed in my personal site and find it really good and still using it. Glype is so flexible and you can find great online support with huge number of plugins and themes available. Glype is very fast proxy script with lot of options to customize the same for social networking sites like Myspace, Orkut accounts. If you want to want to make money you have got some plugins and themes for Glype to monetise the same with Adsense or any other ads. Please see the demo. For me it is the best I have tried.

phpMyProxy:

phpMyProxy is also a free web based proxy script by eProxies.info. This is also very handy proxy script that comes with some great features like HTTP files uploading, host blocking etc. phpMyProxy works with PHP 4.0.2 or higher and it comes under GPL Licensing. As far as my personal experience is concerned phpMyProxy is bit slow compared to Glype but still remains comparable. The community support for phpMyProxy is also bit less comparatively.
