“Last month, Jim Bruene, editor of the Online Banking Report, a trade publication, asked 500 Facebook users whether they’d be interested in viewing their bank account balance through Facebook. Seventy percent said “No way.”” Do you have any interest in providian.com accomplishing your banking needs through a social network. Or would you rather not mix business and pleasure?

This seems a bit insane, why would you want to do this? Surely the worry of having your bank details leaked would put anyone off doing this, especially after facebook's latest privacy scandal! I thought in the current economic climate banks would providian.com keep their communication professional. Consumers want financial services from reputable banks they can trust who conduct themselves to conduct themselves accordingly not jump on the back of the latest fad.
