Hackers claim attack over Daily Telegraph web site

telegraph-site-hacked An ethical hacker from HackersBlog today claimed that he was able to carry out a SQL injection attack successfully and has got access to the complete database to a popular UK daily, The Daily Telegraph. The site has also released snapshots of databases, passwords in clear text and email addresses of those receiving the newsletter which are highly sensitive.

Google boss puts an end to Twitter deal rumors

eric_schmidt There has been rumors for a long time about Google’s plan to buy Twitter, which is feared to pose a threat to the search engine giant with its wonderfully poised real time search capabilities. Today Google boss Eric Schmidt put an end to everything calling Twitter as a “poor man’s email”. Speaking to Morgan Stanley’s technology conference at SFO, he praised twitters success and also said the micro-blogging service was not particularly useful and one cannot compare the 140 character limit with twitter cannot be compared with the capabilities of an email service.

Microsoft confirms Kumo search engine testing

kumo-search-service Microsoft is gearing up to launch Kumo, its new online search service soon and today it has confirmed the testing of its new Internet search engine. Kumo which means cloud or spider in Japanese is said  to be the replacement of Microsoft’s Live search. Microsoft has registered the domain kumo.com and is currently being tested internally within Microsoft.
