online collaboration With friends and business spread out in the real world, collaborating online is very important and there are lot of tools available online. Some of the famous free online collaboration tools are Cozi, Stixy which helps users to share document, pictures, appointments with family, friends and to collaborate online. But I didn’t find any tool for online collaborative debugging other than Pastebin. Pastebin helps you to collaborate on debugging code snippets with syntax highlighting for almost all the famous scripting and programming languages.

Conficker worm raises concerns

computer-worm Conficker is a well known computer worm emerged last October created a big threat among the Windows users. Conficker is also known as Downup, Downandup and Kido now started replicating in an avalanche infecting 3 million PCs 2 weeks ago in its new Avatar. The worm takes advantage of Remote Code Execution exploit with Microsoft Windows operating system and using the infected machine it downloads and installs Malwares from an anonymous server paving way for hackers to exploit. Windows XP and older versions of Windows operating system are the most riskier operating system and users are advised to install the related patch from Microsoft ASAP.

Double delight for Australia this Jan

jumping-in-joy This new year 2009 has given Australia a nice start with Technology giants like Microsoft and Nokia has offered enhanced service facilities and freebies respectively. Last week Microsoft announced its plan to roll out of POP3 access for Windows Live mail and the option is already available for set of countries with Australia being one of them. Today Nokia has revealed its plans for rolling out service for Nokia’s unlimited music application in Australia and Singapore in couple of months which is already operational in UK. Tero Ojanpera, head of Nokia Entertainment and Communities revealed this plan at MidemNet annual music gathering at Cannes.

Google stops development of certain services

google-stops-development I was shocked to read a post with title Stopping development on Google Notebook in the official Google Notebook blog. Then I checked out other official Google blogs and found that Google gives farewell to Google Mashup Editor, stopping uploads for Google videos anymore, closes down Google catalog search and stops the development of micro-blogging service Jaiku too and got really shocked and puzzled. Google promised that it will not remove the already uploaded videos from Google Video and same with the case for uploaded Google notebook documents. Already I heard some speculations for closing down of certain services sometime back but this one is real shocker getting the news from all at the same time.
