Kevin Rudd’s website compromised

Kevin Rudd website hacked Yesterday Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd’s website was compromised in protest against the Government’s new policies over Internet Censorship. Australian media reports the president’s website, www.pm.gov.au, was brought down at about 7.20pm (AEST) along with that of the Australian Communications and Media Authority, but both were back online about an hour later. It has been told that the new proposal to introduce internet filtering would block legal content, and take censorship to levels like that seen in China.

run programs safe Virus, Malwares, Worms or Trojans have become common these days as one can find them in softwares, email attachments, scripts from the web, pirated softwares and keygen etc. One has to trust Anti-virus programs mostly to find and delete them but sometimes it doesn’t happen in the way we think and the computer gets infected. No Anti-Virus system is fool proof. Sometimes programmers and users who use pirate programs try to run keygen and others which are 99.9% unsafe and highly untrusted. I have been contemplating with this problem for quite sometime and have come back with few solutions which I have found through Internet.

How to unlock files in windows?

file-delete-error Almost everybody who uses Windows Operating System will happen to see the error, “Cannot delete file: Access is denied” at least once in a while. This error is pretty annoying and it is happening because the file or folder has been locked by one of windows process. Sometimes a system restart will help to get rid of the error but one cannot do that amidst work and in some rare cases even a restart will not help. I have come across a nice utility called Unlocker last  week and thought of sharing it.

Microsoft OneApp Microsoft yesterday announced a new software that delivers popular Internet Services including Twitter, Facebook to cheap basic phones in developing countries. This will bring the people of the world closer by allowing the users to connect with even people from shanty towns including who starred in the Oscar flick Slumdog Millionaire. OneApp complements Microsoft’s low-budget business strategy by bringing mobile apps and services to feature phones in emerging markets. OneApp will be rolled out in South Africa first followed by India, China and other developing countries where people use low-cost feature phones instead of powerful smartphones.
