privacy Almost every browser saves details of user such as visited sites, form details etc in the form of cookies, cache, history and how it is getting saved is independent from browser to browser. Microsoft Internet Explorer is no exception and stores the browsed URLs, recently opened files and Internet search queries in a file called index.dat.  It also logs the email that has been sent or received through Outlook or Outlook Express. Windows becomes sluggish sometimes because of overloaded information in index.dat file. Index.dat Analyzer is a tool which helps the user to view, examine and delete contents of index.dat files in an attempt to protect the privacy.
