Refine your search with Google Wonder Wheel
Google has unveiled new Aussie-developed search technology that makes it easier to find answers to queries when users are not sure about what they are looking for. The new “Wonder Wheel” option has been included in the results page with the search options link. This new wonder wheel allows user to view forums, video and review related to the search or displaying pages updated in the last 24 hours, week or later. The new Google search options were officially announced at the at the Searchology event on 12th of May.
The new search options can be applied in numerous combinations and can be manipulated to allow users quickly refine their search to find what they want quickly. Wonder wheel can also represent related topics by means of a flow chart as I have shown below.
Google has rolled out these changes only for Australia and few other countries. Others may not be able to see options for Wonder Wheel flowcharts. Google can also display search results in a year-to-year timeline, including a graph charting a year’s significant to a search.
