Twitter compromised by a French hacker
Twitter is compromised for the second time in this year by a French Hacker under the handle Hacker Croll gaining administrative access to the Twitter’s employee account. He posted 13 screenshots of Twitter’s administrative console at a French online discussion forum. Twitter has officially confirmed the breach and it has been discovered that 10 individual accounts were viewed during this unauthorized access.
The hacker has gained access to 10 high-profile Twitter accounts such as Obama, Britney Spears, Ashton Kutcher and few others . The hacker has gained access to the administrative account of Jason Goldman, a director of product management for Twitter by guessing the answer for Yahoo Mail secret question and then finding the Twitter password in an old email. Twitter was conducting a independent security audit of its internal systems and is said to have contacted all the affected parties. Last January a 18-year-old student calling himself "GMZ" guessed the administrator password for Twitter and then posted fake updates to high profile accounts.
