To harvest email ids spammers are using Twitter Search with simple search queries like ‘email me at’, ‘gmail.com’ , ‘yahoo.com’ etc which returns the user with the list of tweets with those keywords along with email ids which are more than enough for spammers. Even proof of concept has been released in the form of a script which is really a big threat to users. Being one of the largest micro-blogging site and used by celebrities including Obama this is highly a concern and Twitter needs to come up with the quick fix to get rid of spammers. [via ZDNet]
