Zoho from AdventNet Inc is one of the powerful online word processing software and office suite that exists in the market now. Zoho is based on the Google Gears framework pioneered by Google. Google docs also follows the same Google Gears framework which is scalable and standardized. Unlike Google docs, Zoho is a complete office suite and offers wide range of functionalities like CRM, project management, wikis, note-taking, databases, spreadsheet, word processing etc. Zoho Writer has got offline editing like Goolge docs but introduced way before than Google.

With Zoho, you can import any office document and then edit,reformat and save. Also you have can import HTML,Gif,JPG, RTF and PNG files. Once you signup for Zoho you can acess all the applications including Zoho business suites like CRM. But you need a premium paid access for some of the additional features of CRM and Project business suites. Zoho has released two plugins for its users. One is the Microsoft Office plugin by which one can integrate zoho with microsoft office. This closes the gap between offline and online productivity. You can edit documents using Microsoft office and excel and still can have the changes reflected in zoho. The second plugin is a browser plugin which enables user to open the spread sheets and documents in the browser without any office suites installed in the local system.
